TM Tulip Poplar #1 T&G Collection
Our Thermally Modified (TM) Poplar #1 T&G Collection embraces nature’s beautiful grain and color variations with up to approximately 1/3 non-structural sound character. TM is rated for exterior applications and reported to last in excess of 25 years. The dark TM patina penetrates the entire board thickness. TM Poplar is ready to accept an oil-based primer or chose an oil finish with UV protection to protect the dark natural walnut-like color.
Manufactured to order right here at our rural Indiana facility from hardwoods responsibly harvested from well-managed local forests, expertly milled, kiln dried and thermally modified. Our unfinished 3/4″ thick solid poplar tongue and groove planks are precision milled, back relieved and end matched in long random lengths up to 10′ long with an exceptionally long 72″ minimum average. Choose from a traditional square or eased edge or one of our many decorative edge profiles perfect for wall and ceiling applications. Orders are individually packed 4-6 planks per hand-manageable bundle, nested and banded to a shipping pallet.

Why Random Widths?
In hardwoods, Random Widths offer an eco-friendly choice with the lowest waste to manufacture, the highest yields and value. Aesthetically, Random Widths offer a pleasing appearance that resonates with nature.
Unless otherwise specified, random width T&G planks are mill run – meaning you will receive all three plank widths. We attempt to ship near equal lineal feet, as nature allows. This means each run is unique and may or may not yield equal lineal feet. A width tally report is provided with each order.
