Cornice & Crown Mouldings are typically used where the walls
and ceiling meet, to dress cabinets, or as a transition to a mantle,
shelf or pediment. Used in conjunction with other mouldings, a dramatic
"compound" or multiple step crown greatly enhances a room.
Crown Moulding should be complimentary to the other room trims
and proportionately sized slightly larger than the base mould. Also,
consider more substantial trims in larger rooms, especially with
high ceilings.
Decorative crown ceiling blocks
are recommended for use in corners where a mitered cut is difficult,
if not impossible; especially useful in cathedral ceiling applications.
