The U.S. Forest Service ranks Cypress among the top woods for exterior use. Noted for its beautiful color consistency and density, Cypress contains a natural preservative oil which gives the heartwood resistance to insects and decay. (view the US Forest cypress report). With its legendary hardiness and durability, cypress is easily machined and has excellent paint and stain retention for superior durability. Our fine Southern Cypress is procured from the Southeastern Atlantic and Gulf states region.
